This year’s theme is “Women Helping Women” and panels will touch upon the following topics: construction, development, sustainability, capital raising and information technology. Hear case studies from top real estate entrepreneurs that highlight active opportunities in the market today.

Purnima KapurPurnima Kapur, Executive Director, NYC Planning

Purnima Kapur, has worked with City Planning for 25 years, was involved in affordable housing negotiations with Two Trees Management’s Domino Sugar site. She also previously served as director of the agency’s Bronx office, where she oversaw rezoning that paved the way for housing and economic development initiatives in the Port Morris and Morrisania neighborhoods. She was also involved in land-use applications for the new Yankee Stadium and Bronx Terminal Market. Kapur holds dual Master’s degrees in Planning and Architectural Studies from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor’s of Architecture from the School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi, India.

Diane RamirezDiane M. Ramirez, Chief Executive Officer, Halstead Property

Diane M. Ramirez is Chief Executive Officer of Halstead Property and she is well-known for her passion and devotion to the residential real estate industry. She is a 35-year veteran who started her career in Palm Beach, Florida where she worked as an agent for a number of years before returning to her hometown – New York City – and embarking on a successful and exciting career. Together with Clark Halstead, she helped found Halstead Property in the Fall of 1984. Their vision for the company was a high-end firm that utilized advanced technology combined with old fashioned elegance that covered all segments of the market and was located in the communities that they serviced. Over the course of the next 30 years, Halstead has strategically grown to include 30 offices across Manhattan, Brooklyn, Riverdale, Hudson Valley, the Hamptons, New Jersey and Fairfield County, Connecticut.
