Lisa Sexton

Since 2015, Ms. Sexton has served as a Vice President of Development with Marriott International and is responsible for the development of full service and luxury hotels in the eastern United States. Her responsibilities include identifying target markets and sites as well as working with owners to execute management and franchise agreements for 13 of Marriott’s brands including the Marriott, JW Marriott, St. Regis, Ritz Carlton, Luxury Collection, Westin, Renaissance, Le Meridien, Autograph Collection, Tribute Portfolio, Gaylord, Sheraton and Delta.

Prior to joining Marriott, Ms. Sexton spent 15 years in real estate finance having served as an investment banker and loan originator. From 2012 to 2015 she worked for ORIX Americas originating non-recourse hotel, senior living, multifamily and student housing loans. From 2001 to 2012 she was an investment banker in Piper Jaffray’s Hospitality Group underwriting, structuring and negotiating all aspects of hotel financings including public subsidies for the firm’s clients. She began her career at a municipal finance consulting firm where she served as a financial advisor to local municipalities and transportation agencies.

Ms. Sexton graduated with a BS in Public Policy from Stanford University.
