Gentry Ashmore Hoit is a Partner of GreenOak, based in New York. Gentry focuses on new client relationships and new business initiatives, working closely with the founding partners to cover investors globally.

Prior to joining GreenOak, Gentry was a Partner of Park Madison Partners, a boutique real estate private equity firm. Gentry focused on fundraising at Park Madison and led the firm’s Capital Advisory practice. Previously, Gentry was a Partner at Atlantic Assets Group (AAG), a private investment company dedicated
to mixed‐use and residential investment and redevelopment, and a Senior Partner at Rubenstein Partners, a private real estate investment fund focused on office acquisitions and redevelopment. Gentry began her career with the Shorenstein Company and served in various positions from the inception of the company’s investment management business through seven consecutive investment funds. She served as a Managing Director, led east coast acquisitions for the firm’s Capital Transactions Group and was a member of the Executive Committee. During her time at Shorenstein, Gentry acquired approximately 16 million square feet valued at nearly $4.0 billion and raised over $1.8 billion in debt financing.

Gentry received her bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University and a Master of Business Administration, with concentrations in real estate and finance, from Columbia University. She is a full member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and currently serves as Chairman of its UDMUC Blue Product Council. Gentry is also a current member and former mentor of WX (Women Executives in Real Estate), and she is also a member of PoWRE.
