Sotheby’s International Realty, Inc. named Kathy Kaye president of Sotheby’s International Realty Development Advisors in 2017, responsible for leading its new development sale and marketing efforts in New York City and providing project managing services to luxury residential developers.

A leader in new development real estate for more than two decades, Kaye has managed full life-cycle branding, marketing and sales for more than $5 billion in inventory.

Kaye previously was executive vice president of Brown Harris Stevens’ Development Marketing division in New York where she grew and managed more than $1 billion in inventory. She was also previously senior vice president at The Related Companies in New York, one of the most prominent privately owned real estate firms in the US. During her tenure, she was a key strategic force leading the sales teams for such high-profile developments as Superior Ink, The Caledonia, The Brompton, The Veneto, One Carnegie Hill and Astor Place. As a direct result of her sales and marketing efforts, the company achieved record-breaking sales.

She has been designated a Certified Negotiation Expert and New York Residential Specialist by the Real Estate Board of New York, where she serves as a member of its New Development committee. She was selected to speak at the 2014 Real Estate Weekly Women’s Forum along with other industry icons.

Kaye is an active volunteer in her community, serving on the board of the City of Hope’s East End Chapter/Jeanne Kaye League, named for her mother, and BookPALS (Performing Artists for Literacy in Schools), where she utilizes her skills as a former performing artist to promote literacy in New York public schools through the SAG-AFTRA Foundation.

Kaye earned a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Miami in Florida and a master’s degree in education from Bank Street College of Education in New York.
